Two Trades, One Coordinated Team
Successful construction projects require building, brickwork, carpentry and finishing work to come together seamlessly. Cedar & Stone combines the complementary experience of directors Joe Gee and Jake Johnston within one coordinated team.

Joe leads the company’s building and brickwork, while Jake leads its carpentry and joinery. Their combined expertise allows each stage to be considered as part of the complete project, helping maintain continuity, solve practical challenges and deliver a consistent standard from the structural work through to the finishing details.

Meet the Directors
Cedar & Stone is led by two experienced tradespeople whose complementary skills provide practical knowledge and oversight across every stage of a construction project.

Joe Gee
Lead Bricklayer & Builder
Joe has 21 years’ experience in building and brickwork and holds City & Guilds and NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in bricklaying.

He leads Cedar & Stone’s general building and brickwork, with experience spanning new builds, extensions, structural alterations, refurbishment and heritage projects.

Jake Johnston
Lead Carpenter & Joiner
Jake has 20 years’ experience in carpentry and joinery and holds City & Guilds and NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. He has also completed a workshop joinery machinist course.
He leads Cedar & Stone’s carpentry and joinery, covering structural timber work, bespoke elements, interior alterations and detailed finishing.
A Reliable Team Around Every Project
Alongside Joe and Jake, Cedar & Stone has a four-person core team that provides practical support across the principal building, brickwork, carpentry and joinery stages.
The building team includes Jack, a Level 2-qualified bricklayer, while Jake is supported by a labourer and apprentice carpenter. This gives the company a dependable hands-on team covering its two principal areas of expertise.

Where a project requires additional specialist skills, Cedar & Stone works with established, fully insured subcontractors who have supported the business for many years. These trades are coordinated as part of the wider project, giving clients one straightforward point of contact throughout.
